People who thrive on connecting, who share opinions and ideas, who love to laugh, and sometimes just listen. These are the people who come to thrive at Searstone. Now we’re preparing to open our doors for a whole new group of thinkers and doers.
Meet Priority Depositor and Future Resident Eugene Ball
Eugene was born in Chattanooga, TN, grew up in Ball, LA, but spent his grade and high school years in Tioga, LA. He went to LA Tech University for a BS and MS in Math and then attended Auburn where he received a Ph.D. in Mathematics. He went on to get not one, but two, post-doctorals in Space Science and Bio-Mathematics. He met his wife, Peggy on a blind date and they spent some time living in Cario, Egypt (yup, you read that right!) where Eugene was an instructor at the American University. They currently call Raleigh home, but are looking forward to making the move to Searstone as soon as possible so they can continue to enjoy life.
Math. Computer Science. Problem solving.
Eugene and his son, Emory, celebrated their birthdays together on an Outward Bound Trip canyoning in Utah in 2010.
He leads an active lifestyle and enjoys cycling, hiking and tennis. He’s a member of Kildaire Farm Tennis and the Raleigh Racquet Club. But when he’s not out on his bike, hitting the trails or making that perfect shot down the baseline, you can find him deep into a good mystery novel.
Eugene spends time volunteering at a cat rescue and is involved with Ollie, a Science Community.
But I have promises to keep and miles to go before I sleep.
